We're looking for an HR Operations Assistant to join our friendly and collaborative HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with HR administration experience who wants to develop their career while playing a key role in supporting our people and our business.
As the first point of contact for HR queries, you'll help deliver an exceptional employee experience from day one through to departure. Working across every stage of the employee lifecycle, you'll support colleagues, managers and the wider HR team, ensuring our processes are efficient, compliant and always delivered with a customer-first approach.

What you'll be doing
As an integral member of the HR team, you'll:
- Be the first point of contact for employee HR queries, providing accurate, timely and professional advice.
- Deliver efficient HR administration across the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes and offboarding.
- Create and maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation and system data.
- Manage key HR processes including the HR inbox, probation reviews, occupational health referrals, risk assessments, absence management and leaver processes.
- Support recruitment administration and help deliver a smooth candidate and onboarding experience.
- Work closely with colleagues across Employee Relations, Learning & Development, Early Careers and Talent Acquisition.
- Produce HR reports and management information to support business decisions.
- Contribute to HR projects, policy reviews and initiatives focused on improving processes, digitalisation and automation.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in line with employment legislation, company policies and GDPR requirements.
What we're looking for
You'll be someone who enjoys helping others, takes ownership of your work and loves creating well-organised, efficient processes.
You'll bring:
- Previous experience in an HR administration or HR assistant role, ideally within a fast-paced professional services environment.
- Experience using HR Information Systems (experience with iHCM would be advantageous).
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with confidence using digital tools such as Canva and PageTiger (or similar platforms).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, approachable manner.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a "right first time" mindset.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach, taking initiative while working collaboratively within a supportive team.
- A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service and continuously improving the employee experience.
Qualifications
A degree or CIPD Level 3 qualification (essential).
Working towards, or having achieved, CIPD Level 5 would be advantageous.
