ROLE PURPOSE
Responsible for owning and evolving the learning technology ecosystem, with a specific focus on the LMS, while also acting as a trusted learning consultant to internal and external clients. You will combine proven, hands‑on expertise in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and its integration with organisational-wide systems and data. You will also utilise your strong learning design credibility and client problem‑solving capability to bridge business needs, learning design, and technology to shape a variety of learning solutions. A commitment to exceptional quality and attention to detail, along with strong follow-through, is critical.
This role suits a learning professional who enjoys owning systems, solving complex client learning challenges, and designing effective learning experiences. This role does not have people management responsibility, but there is scope to grow and evolve the role over time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Learning Technology Strategy & LMS Ownership
- Own the end‑to‑end management, configuration, governance and evolution of the LMS and related learning technology platforms
- Design and maintain learning architecture and digital learning journeys that support a range of learning modalities (eLearning, classroom, blended, virtual, video, resources)
- Lead the implementation and mobilisation of new internal and external clients onto the LMS, ensuring client satisfaction, learning outcomes, learner experience, and scalability are prioritised
- Act as the organisation’s learning technology subject matter expert, advising on system capability, constraints, and best use of technology to meet learning goals
- Partner with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure system reliability, usability, integrations and continuous improvement
- Own the learning reporting and insights approach, ensuring accurate data capture and meaningful analysis to support decision‑making
- Maintain oversight of learning technology budgets, licences, subscriptions, timelines, and vendor relationships
Client Consultation & Learning Design
- Consult with internal and external clients, diagnosing business and performance needs into clear, effective learning strategies and solutions
- Lead and support project mobilisation by clarifying scope, approach, dependencies, project plan and delivery expectations
- Design, co‑design, or shape learning solutions across multiple formats (eLearning, classroom, blended, virtual, video, etc)
- Apply adult learning theory and principles to ensure solutions are learner‑centred, engaging and outcome‑focused
- Provide instructional design expertise and detailed-oriented quality reviews, creating and reviewing storyboards, content, and final learning deliverables.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of learning approaches and formats in a strong team-focused environment
- Build strong, professional client relationships that underpin confidence, credibility, and delivery quality
- Set and uphold high learning quality standards across platforms, content, and learner experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS
Essential:
- Demonstrated advanced or senior-level experience in learning technology and LMS ownership, with hands‑on system management and governance
- Proven experience acting as a learning consultant to internal or external stakeholders, diagnosing needs and shaping learning solutions
- Demonstrated ability to script and design learning across multiple modalities (eLearning, classroom, gamification, simulations, video, etc.).
- Strong grounding in instructional design theory and adult learning principles
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior clients
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
- Comfortable operating autonomously with high levels of accountability and follow-through
Preferred:
- Experience working in a consultancy or multi‑client learning environment
- Learning analytics and reporting expertise
- Experience integrating learning systems with wider people or data platforms
- Project management capabilities or experience (formal or informal)
- Driving outcomes in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

Pay: £60,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
