Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Operations Manager to join our team at The Ravenswood. The venue, part of The Gilchrist Collection, specialises in being an exclusive wedding venue.

Inspiring and engaging, you will show your leadership and interpersonal strengths to optimize the service operations of our venue, and ensure an exceptional guest experience for all our wedding guests.

You will report directly into the General Manager.

The Role:

· To manage all operational aspects of our venue, leading all our operational head of departments.

· To lead and develop an energetic workforce, to be a key driver in recruitment, learning and development, team engagement initiatives and all other people management responsibilities

· To communicate and motivate your team providing day to day leadership and direction

· To take on duty management shifts.

· To ensure correct communication between the F&B Team, Accommodation team and other venue departments.

· To be in control of pricing, stock control and ordering

· To ensure that all risk assessments, Health & Safety regulations and EHO standards are adhered to

Who are we looking for?

You will need to be proactive and ensure the smooth running of the day to day operations of the business.

This is a hands-on role so you will need to be comfortable with rolling up your sleeves and getting involved with service.

You will thrive in this role if you’re an outgoing person with a real passion for your craft. You’ll need to create a fun and rewarding environment for your team and lead by example.

We need someone with previous experience of working within a busy operation, – exposure to supervisory or management duties is essential. Wine knowledge is advantageous, passion for food and a genuine desire to provide genuine service to our guests.

Our business is open all day every day so you will need to be flexible with the times you can work to includes evenings and Weekends.
