We are seeking a Site Manager to join a high-performing customer programme with an annual spend of approximately £3.5M. As a Site Manager, you will act as an operational allrounder, ensuring exceptional customer service while delivering procurement, inventory, and supply chain support within a manufacturing environment.
The Site Manager will play a key role in achieving contractual commitments, supporting cost-saving initiatives, and driving continuous improvement. You will work closely with stakeholders to enhance service delivery and identify opportunities to increase sales and margins.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate purchasing, customer service, vendor relationships, and warehousing activities in line with contractual requirements.
- Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and identify opportunities to enhance the programme.
- Monitor performance and produce monthly reports covering cost, service, quality, and improvements.
- Generate and track cost-saving initiatives to meet or exceed annual targets. Resolve customer issues, including billing and service concerns, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage on-site resources, support training, and coordinate technical and value-added activities.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee physical stock counts.
About you:
- Experience in procurement, inventory or storeroom management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations and continuous improvement methodologies such as LEAN.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, analyse data, and solve complex problems effectively.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying improvements and cost savings.
