Teacher – KS2, St Thomas Primary School
MPR 1-3: £32,916 – £37,101 per annum, Full time, Permanent
Every child deserves a teacher who believes in them before they believe in themselves
At St Thomas, we believe great teachers do far more than teach lessons. They inspire confidence. They spark curiosity. They help children discover strengths they never knew they had.
The moments that matter most in education are often the quiet ones. The child who finally puts their hand up. The reluctant learner who begins to believe in themselves. The pupil who feels truly seen, understood and valued.
As one Year 6 pupil recently put it to our Voice21 partner, “I never thought I had a voice and no one would listen, but Oracy has helped me speak up and I’m as important as anyone else.”
These moments happen because of exceptional teachers.
Teachers who bring warmth, energy and creativity into the classroom. Teachers who set high expectations whilst showing compassion. Teachers who understand that relationships are at the heart of learning.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

Why join St Thomas?
Because relationships matter here.
This is a school where children are encouraged to be themselves, take risks in their learning and OPAL play and discover what makes them unique.
A school where kindness sits alongside ambition. Where creativity is valued. Where staff support one another and celebrate success together.
Most importantly, it's a school where you can make a genuine difference every single day.
In fact, let’s let the parents say a few words about ‘Why St Thomas?’ (parent survey - June 2026)
On our school ethos and culture
"From the moment you walk through the gates of this school (with music playing!) it is clear that every decision has been made with children at its heart."
"The school has such a nurturing environment, like one big family!"
On our OPAL play
"The school has embraced the OPAL programme fully, and the difference it makes is remarkable. You can see children negotiating, problem-solving, and leading their own play."
"The school clearly understands that play is not a break from learning: it is learning."
On our staff and leadership
"Leadership here is visible, calm, and purposeful."
"Well led, great teachers, positive and developmental attitude towards learning."
As you can see, we are proud of our caring and supportive team and our commitment to ensuring every child receives the very best ‘whole child’ education, opportunities and experiences.
