Positive Steps Care & Support Ltd are looking for passionate and experienced support workers to join our fantastic organisation.
You will be supporting a young male who sustained a brain injury following an accident several years ago. He enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and taking part in community activities, so the role suits a support worker who is confident providing active outdoor support and community‑based engagement.
To enable support, responsibilities will include:
· Supporting the service user with everyday duties, this could include meal preparation and light cleaning duties.
· Supporting the service user with any access needs, such as day trips with service users/ helping them to access the community.
· Working in accordance with the expectations and policies of Positive Steps and the expectations of the client and companies we support.
· enjoy keeping active and supporting community/outdoor activities
Requirements for the position:
The attributes we are looking for in a successful candidate include;
· A person who is positive, enthusiastic, compassionate and a friendly individual to help support the people who use our service.
· A minimum of 6 months experience within health and social care, ideally with knowledge and experience of acquired brain injury, learning disability and mental health. However, transferable skills and personal experience will be considered.
· A full clean driving license will be required for this position due to the locations of the companies/service users we are supporting.
Shift Availability 2 WK Roster:
· Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 08:00 - 17:00/20:00
· Saturday/Sunday 08:00 - 17:00
