At LED Community Leisure, we’re looking for thoughtful, forward-thinking individuals to join our Board of Trustees and help guide the future of our organisation.

LED Community Leisure is a charitable Community Benefit Society at the heart of local life across East Devon and the wider South West.
We welcome over one million visitors each year and support 11,000+ members to stay active, healthy, and connected. Everything we generate is reinvested back into our facilities and communities—whether that’s improving leisure centres, enhancing hospitality venues, or delivering programmes that genuinely change lives.
As a Trustee, you’ll play a key part in ensuring we continue to thrive, grow, and make an impact where it matters most.
What You’ll Bring
We’re building a Board that reflects the diversity of our communities and brings a range of perspectives to the table.
You don’t need to have been a Trustee before. What matters is your ability to think strategically, challenge constructively, and stay focused on what’s best for our people and communities.
While experience in areas such as legal, leisure, or commercial operations would be valuable, we warmly welcome interest from individuals across all backgrounds who can offer insight, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to our purpose.
What You’ll Do
As a Trustee, you’ll:

Provide strategic oversight and governance, ensuring LED remains sustainable and impactful

Use your experience to support decision-making and long-term direction

Help navigate operational, financial, and legal challenges

Champion our mission and act as an ambassador for LED in the community

Work collaboratively with a passionate leadership team to drive improvement and innovation
