Finance Officer
We are seeking to recruit a Finance Officer to provide maternity cover on a fixed-term basis.
Number of hours per week: 20
Salary: £14,800 per annum (£25,900 FTE)
Type of contract: Maternity Cover until 31/08/2027
Work base: Sanford House Swindon
Role Purpose:
· Play a key role in Finance and wider CRCC
· Keep day to day accounting records up to date
· Provide accurate and timely financial information to Finance Manager, CEO and SLT
· Maintain accurate records of the contracts and financial logs
· To manage the financial cycle of grant disbursement.
· This role serves as the vital link between the Finance department and the CRCC Grants Matrix Team.
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure financial transactions are prepared and made in a correct and timely manner. Including, purchase and sales ledger invoices, direct debits, bank reconciliation and cash-flow.
· Support the Finance manager in preparation and production of yearly budgets and monthly management accounts.
· Prepare and keep an accurate log of all transactions via our card system Soldo.
· Check aged debtors, update monthly cash forecast and due income.
· Within a timely and accurate manner prepare payroll adjustments.
· Ensure all month end processes are completed.
· Liaise and support foremost the Finance manager, and then the wider network of team managers where needed.
· Grant Payments & Matrix Support: Act as the finance lead for the Grants Matrix Team, processing community grant payments and ensuring they align with approved "matrix" criteria.
· Restricted Fund Tracking: Use Xero Tracking Categories to maintain a real-time view of specific grant balances, ensuring restricted funds are never overspent.
· Grant Reporting: Assist the Finance Lead in preparing financial reports for external funders, ensuring all "evidence of spend" is digitally filed and audit ready.
