About Richfords Fire and Flood
At Richfords, we’re on a mission to Give People Their Lives Back after unexpected property damage caused by fire or flood. Based in Redruth, Cornwall, we’re a trusted, values-driven team delivering specialist restoration services across the UK. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for making a difference and thrives on turning challenging situations into positive outcomes.
Our work is very important to our customers suffering as a result of fire or flood events. Their normal life is put on hold and we focus on "giving you your life back" and as soon as possible.
We are a values based Company. Of all our values, being "Responsive" is the leading one and the value that will most shape your experience of working with us. It is essential that anyone joining us strongly connects with this need to be Responsive. There are no roles in the company that are not impacted by this aspect of "the work". This is an inescapable reality. We are a 24 hour response Company with fire and flood damage events occurring at any time and can impact us outside 'normal' working hours of 9-5.
The Role: A Dynamic Opportunity for a Customer-Focused Leader
Step into a fast-paced, rewarding role where no two days are the same. As a Customer Recovery Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of new insurance claims from start to finish, guiding customers and stakeholders through the restoration process with confidence and care. This isn’t just about managing tasks—it’s about building relationships, solving problems, and making smart decisions under pressure to deliver exceptional results.
What You’ll Do:
- Take the lead on new claims, acting as the key point of contact for customers (from busy professionals to vulnerable individuals), insurers, loss adjusters, and technical teams.
- Quickly assess customer needs and interpret complex information—like building damage reports and insurance policies—to shape effective restoration plans.
- Collaborate with our on-site teams to define scopes of work that prevent further damage, reduce claim costs, and exceed expectations.
- Adapt to shifting priorities or insurer decisions, keeping projects on track and within budget.
- Drive successful outcomes by monitoring progress, coordinating site visits, and ensuring clear, professional communication with all parties.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A natural relationship-builder who enjoys working with diverse clients—including celebrities, business leaders and home owners—and professional stakeholders like insurers, loss adjusters and brokers.
- Someone decisive and confident, able to interpret technical details (e.g., building structures, insurance terms) and act fast in a changing environment.
- A proactive problem-solver who thrives on delivering top-notch customer service, not just processing paperwork.
- A team player with strong communication skills—great at listening, negotiating, and lifting spirits on tough days.
- Tech-savvy and eager to use tools to streamline your work and achieve results.
- You naturally embody Richfords’ core values:Responsiveness, Expertise, Professionalism, Togetherness, and Innovation.
What You’ll Love About This Job:
- The satisfaction of helping people recover from disaster and seeing the impact of your work.
- A supportive, values-led team that appreciates your initiative and celebrates success.
- The chance to grow your skills in a unique, fast-moving industry.
