Full job description

Are you a passionate and driven retail professional or Sales manager looking to take the next step in your career? The Cherry Tree is seeking an enthusiastic Retail Sales Manager to lead our York store and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

At The Cherry Tree, we pride ourselves on offering award winning products and a warm, welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. As our Retail Sales Manager, you will play a key role in bringing our brand to life in-store.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day management of the store, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team
Manage recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of staff
Drive sales performance and ensure store targets are consistently met
Deliver and maintain the “Cherry Tree experience” for every customer
Ensure company values and ethos are reflected throughout the store
Maintain excellent standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety regulations

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in retail management or direct sales
Strong leadership and team development skills
A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for customer service
Commercial awareness with a focus on driving sales
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards (preferred)
