Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
Estimating – Service Repairs & Maintenance
· Prepare detailed cost estimates for service repairs, reactive maintenance works, and preventative maintenance agreements.
· Review engineer reports, service recommendations, customer requirements, and equipment information to produce accurate estimates.
· Assess labour, parts, subcontractor requirements, and associated service costs.
· Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and engineers to obtain pricing and technical information where required.
· Follow up quotations and support conversion of estimates into approved works and ongoing service calls and agreements.
· Monitor quotation performance and contribute to improving conversion rates and response times.
· Ensure estimating activity is commercially sound, process driven, and accurately recorded.
Sales Development, Contracts & Customer Management
· Work alongside the Sales Director as part of the planned transition into sales, gaining exposure to business development, customer account management, negotiations, and strategic sales activity.
· Develop and support new business opportunities focused on service and preventative maintenance contracts.
· Maintain and grow existing customer service contracts, ensuring strong customer engagement and retention.
· Build and strengthen relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
· Manage sales enquiries and contribute to converting opportunities into long-term agreements.
· Attend customer meetings and site visits where required.
· Prepare customer proposals and service solutions aligned to operational requirements.
· Progressively take ownership of sales opportunities and customer accounts.
· Support achievement of company sales and customer retention objectives.
Administration & Process Management
· Maintain accurate records of quotations, opportunities, contracts, and customer communications.
· Monitor contract performance and support renewals and service continuity.
· Ensure all activity follows established business processes and procedures.
· Contribute to continuous improvement and consistent customer service delivery.
Skills & Experience
Essential
· Previous experience is required in face-to-face selling, estimating, service sales, contract sales, account management, service administration, or a similar role within a commercial catering environment.
· Demonstrable experience preparing service repair estimates and maintenance quotations.
· Experience working with service agreements and preventative maintenance contracts.
· Experience in face-to-face selling
· Strong customer relationship and communication skills.
· Excellent organisational and administrative capability.
· Process-driven approach with strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
· Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
· Willing to travel
· Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
· Experience within service environments, facilities management, maintenance, or technical sales.
· Experience using CRM or estimating systems.
