About The Role

Are you practical, curious and interested in how machinery Is built and maintained? Do you want to gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers whilst gaining a recognised qualification?

PETA are proud to be working with Korber Technologies to recruit and train an Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship, who enjoys problem solving, working with tools and learning new skills in a modern manufacturing environment.

Training to be provided:

As an Engineering Fitter Apprentice, you will be studying a Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship. Throughout your apprenticeship with Korber Technologies, you will be supported by your company mentor and your PETA Learning and Development Coach.
Your Level 3 programme will include, a level 3 Engineering work-based qualification delivered by PETA, and day release for 24 months to complete a level 3 BTEC technical certificate.
Overall duration 45 months.

About the role:

Joining the Korber Technologies team as an Engineering Fitter Apprentice, you will learn a range of skills on the job, including:

Assemble and fit precision engineering components and machinery
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and effectively
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Support the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of machinery
Identify and solve mechanical issues under the guidance of experienced engineers
Work to quality standards and follow engineering procedures
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping
Attend college/training provider sessions and complete apprenticeship coursework

Essential Skills:

2 GCSE's at grade C (4) or above, or equivalents in maths and English
Has a genuine interest in engineering and mechanical systems
Enjoys practical, hands-on work
Is willing to learn and develop new skills
Has good communication and teamwork skills
Is reliable, motivated, and committed to completing an apprenticeship programme
Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic
