Department- Finance - Actuarial
Location - Southampton
Contract – 12 Month FTC
In this role, you will be responsible for the regular monitoring, forecasting and projection of the regulatory capital / solvency position of a Quilter insurance entity with unit-linked investment policies. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders across the business and work closely with Actuarial and Finance colleagues during the business plan cycles.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for the delivery of the month-end solvency estimates and the quarterly forecasting exercise.
Responsible for the delivery of the solvency / capital projection over the business plan horizon.
Responsible for maintaining and improving the Excel-based Capital Projection Model.
Carry out annual stress and scenario testing using the Capital Projection Model.
Provide insights into any deviation between the actual solvency position and the projected solvency position.
Carry out what-if and sensitivity analysis on an adhoc basis.
Maintain strong process and control procedures.
Collaborate closely with Actuarial Reporting Team and Actuarial System Team on planning and forecasting matters.
The Successful Candidate:
Progressing towards IFoA qualification or recently qualified.
Experience in Solvency II and/or Embedded Value reporting and forecasting.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large, complex data models.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Collaborative, flexible and team-oriented approach.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and ambiguity.
