Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work on various construction projects. As a Brick Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures made of brick, block, and other materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units according to specifications and blueprints.
Mix mortar and other materials as required for different types of projects.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and install bricks and other materials.
Construct walls, chimneys, arches, and other structures while ensuring structural integrity.
Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
Perform repairs on existing masonry structures to maintain their condition and appearance.
Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience

Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry is essential.
Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
Proficient in using both hand tools and power tools relevant to masonry work.
Experience working on roofs or in conjunction with carpentry is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions are crucial for success in this role.
