- Proactively promote LiveSafe and ensure that the security team complete their mandatory LiveSafe training on eLearning.
- Promote and manage the LiveSafe Champions Level 1 in partnership with the Mitie HSE manager.
- Complete Eco Online training – Register an account via an Eco Online user request and act as the Mitie first line accident investigation manager.
- Ensure that all officers are fully conversant with Mitie Lifeline and accident, near miss and Hazard Observation reporting.
- Ensure that all Mitie staff who drive vehicle at work adhere to and work within established Company fleet policies and procedures.
- Line management responsibilities for site team leaders and officers
Main duties
- Maintain the integrity of physical security on a day-to-day basis through the delivery and management of physical security measures and controls.
- Management of Mitie security team – Team leader and officers
- Maintain the staff rosters to ensure all shifts are covered.
- Manage staff holiday applications, including resourcing cover officers.
- Maintain Security team Assignment Competency Training Records and the training matrix for the security team.
- Complete investigations of all security incidents, complaints, etc
- Ensure that the security personnel are performing in line with our client and Mitie values.
- Ensure that all on-site security systems remain fully functional and fit for purpose. Raise works tickets through the client service desks to resolve technical issues and faults.
- Integrate as part of the wider site management team and to be the focal point for the operational delivery of the physical security.
- Conduct stakeholder engagement both internally within our client organisation and externally with Police and MOD agencies.
- Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
- Represent the site security team at internal and external meetings. This includes weekly start up meeting, project and trial activity meetings, Police / Military meetings and monthly KPI meetings.
- Ensure security events are reported through the client's system and fully investigate all site security incidents, providing reports and corrective actions as required.
- Support trials and project activity by providing additional resource requirements and ensuring all silent hour guarding requests are met.
- Act as custodian of the full suite of site security documentation. This includes but is not limited to, the Teams and physical site folders, site security instructions, security registers and the site threat appreciation plan.
- Support site security inductions, awareness campaigns and security compliance audits.
- Identify, observe, recognise, and report on Improvements and changes as required.
- Carry out development and reviews of direct reports.
- Create reports in line with customer expectations.

Training Requirements
- Ideally the site security manager will hold ISOH Managing Safely. Alternatively, the post holder should complete Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF).
- Mitie Security Induction – eLearning modules to be completed by the site security manager and ensure that the security team also complete their modules.
- Ensure that all officers complete the Security Essentials modules.
- Security First Line Manager - Level 3
- SCaN For line managers – In addition ensure that all officers have completed SCaN for all staff modules
- Act Awareness eLearning – In addition ensure that all officers have completed the modules
- Complete the 11 LiveSafe modules. The LiveSafe modules are designed to bring to life the LiveSafe QHSE cultural programme, and demonstrate the importance of following the rules

Person Specification
- Ability to be screened to SC Level – or have a current SC clearance – Minimum standard
- British nationality – UK Passport holder
- Hold a clean driving licence – Manual/Automatic
Hold an SIA licence – DS,SG,CP- CCTV Licence required
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Extensive people management experience
- First Aid at Work certificate desired, if not must be willing to achieve it
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar role
- Must understand client needs.
- Ability to inspire and lead team to always deliver the highest service standards
- Effective communicator at all levels
- Must have exceptional understanding of security services
- Understand key Mitie principles and assist in delivering this in every aspect of site functions
- Must have excellent IT skills and a good understanding of all Microsoft Office applications
Health and Safety responsibilities
- Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
