Overview
POND PIMPS Ltd is looking for an experienced Landscaper to join our growing project team.
This isn't a conventional garden-maintenance role.
You'll work on the construction of bespoke garden ponds, natural swimming ponds, waterfalls, water features and complete landscape transformations for residential clients across Surrey and London.
You'll work alongside our Lead Aquascaper and other members of the project team, bringing existing landscaping skills while learning specialist techniques in pond construction, filtration, water circulation, rockwork and aquatic landscaping.
We're looking for someone who already understands how to work properly on a landscaping or construction site: reliable, practical, physically capable and proud of the quality of their finished work.
Duties
- Ground preparation, excavation and site set-up
- Hard and soft landscaping
- Paving, edging, pathways and patio construction
- Timber and composite decking
- Retaining structures and landscape features
- Soil preparation, turfing and planting
- Pond excavation and construction
- Installation of pond liners and protective underlay
- Installation of pumps, filtration and water circulation systems
- Basic PVC pipework and plumbing
- Construction of waterfalls, streams and water features
- Natural rock and boulder placement
- Natural swimming pond construction
- Pond renovations and repairs
- Pond cleaning and scheduled maintenance
- Loading, unloading and movement of materials
- Safe operation of landscaping tools and equipment
- Maintaining clean and professional customer sites
- Working from drawings, measurements and project instructions
- Supporting the Lead Aquascaper with project delivery
- Communicating professionally with customers when required.
Experience
- Around 3+ years' practical landscaping, groundwork or similar construction experience
- Good hard-landscaping skills
- Experience using professional landscaping tools
- Understanding of levels, falls and measurements
- Ability to work accurately from instructions
- Good practical problem-solving ability
- Confidence working independently once a task has been explained
- Good standard of workmanship
- Strong awareness of site health and safety
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Professional attitude around customers and their properties
- Ability to work effectively within a small team.

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
