As the Territorial Candidates Support Worker, you will;

Raise awareness of Officership, Territorial Envoyship and employed spiritual leadership within the UKIT.

Help with the organisational requirements of Design for Life (oversight and planning and small group facilitation and teaching) and be the contact person for children’s DFL and the organiser and coordinator of youth DFL.

Play a part in the organising and running of exploring leadership day - as the CU team together decide how the day will look, you will be responsible for organising team members; booking key speakers and worship band; work with WBC to ensure all departments understand their roles on the day, and closely work with the CU coordinator with regards to bookings.

You will be knowledgeable in the areas of Social media (generate/facilitate content and upload to social media platforms) and to update and give fresh ideas which will help raise awareness of spiritual leadership within TSA and promote CU events and opportunities. You will liaise with the team from salvationist.org and other SA departments.
We are looking for someone who:

Has a sensitive and pastoral heart, with an understanding that the work of the Candidates Unit involves supporting people through a significant, life-changing journey as they offer themselves for service as spiritual leaders in The Salvation Army, in response to God’s calling on their lives

Has an excellent understanding of officership and Territorial Envoyship and the application process towards these areas of ministry. An understanding of all forms of spiritual leadership within TSA will be important to know

Has excellent demonstrable customer services skills with the ability to take ownership of, and deal confidently and effectively with enquiries into the unit

Has good experience of creating basic designs for promotional resources aligned to wider organisational marketing standards/practices/house styles

Has good experience of developing and publishing content on social media to increase awareness and engagement with services/products. These will include facebook, tiktok, Instagram and others that can increase awareness

Has demonstrable strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the proven ability to convey information to the customers and colleagues in a clear, effective and professional manner

Has strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to develop successful and collaborative working relationships both within the unit and with THQ and DHQ teams

Has demonstrable strong ability to plan, organise and prioritise your tasks to effectively meet your objectives to the expected quality standards and time scales with minimal supervision, both as an individual and as part of a team

Has strong experience of using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) Outlook, Teams and databases to perform and enhance your duties

Has the ability to work flexibly to deliver the requirements of your role including occasional travel across the Territory
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed, active and practising Salvationist and an active Soldier within your local Corps.
