Manchester Homes is a growing construction company specialising in high-quality home extensions, full refurbishments, kitchen installations, structural alterations and residential renovations across Greater Manchester.
We're looking for an experienced Joiner / Multi-Skilled Tradesperson who takes pride in their work and can work to a high standard. Joinery is the main trade we're looking for, but the ideal candidate will also be confident carrying out general building and finishing works when required.
Main Duties
First and second fix joinery
Kitchen installations
Hanging doors, fitting frames, architraves and skirting boards
Stud walls, flooring and general carpentry
Roofing and timber work where required
General refurbishment and finishing works
Reading drawings and working from plans
Working alongside other trades on extensions and renovation projects
Keeping sites clean, organised and safe
Ordering or requesting materials when required
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a joiner/carpenter
Ability to complete work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence
Own tools
Reliable, hardworking and punctual
CIS registered (or willing to register)
Desirable
NVQ or City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery
CSCS Card
Experience with structural alterations and extensions
Basic plumbing, tiling or plastering skills
