Full job description

A vacancy has arisen for a dynamic and forward thinking Ward Clerk on the Acute Respiratory Care Unit at Fairfield General Hospital.

This is a 40 bedded mixed sex ward caring for patients under Respiratory, Medical and ENT specialities. This is an extremely fast paced and busy environment and we are looking for a Ward Clerk to join the team.

You will be working alongside the medical and nursing teams to provide outstanding administrative and clerical support.

Previous experience of working in such a role would be beneficial.

Welcoming of patients and visitors to the ward area.

Answering the telephones and directing phone calls and messages to both medical and nursing staff.

Filing of medical notes and monitoring of ward information systems such as leaflets and nursing documentation.

Use of clinical systems such as supply chain, Patient Centre, E-Procurement is required.
