Porsche, VAG & Motorsport Specialist Workshop
County Classics Racing is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic senior vehicle Technician / Motorsport Technician to join our specialist workshop in Horsmonden, Kent.
We are a well-established multi-championship winning race team and an independent workshop specialising in Porsche servicing, repairs, race preparation, performance upgrades, and VAG Group vehicles, including Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Škoda. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who takes pride in precise workmanship, enjoys performance vehicles, and wants to work in a specialist environment rather than a standard dealership or fast-fit workshop. This will suit an already established senior tech with a minimum of three years in a senior role as a master technician or senior diagnostic tech. This is a lead technician role, leading by example and shaping the direction of the company, you will be a very big cog in a very well known race team and vehicle specialist.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on Porsche and VAG Group vehicles
- Diagnostic work and fault finding
- Race car building and preparation, inspection and maintenance
- Fitting performance parts, upgrades and modifications
- Engine and gearbox removal and refitting where required
- Preparing vehicles to a high standard for road, track and race use
- Maintaining accurate job records and reporting parts or repair requirements
- Working closely with the team to ensure vehicles are completed efficiently and correctly
- Experience
Ideally, already a master technician or Gold Standard technician, we are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and technically capable, with a genuine interest in performance cars and motorsport, to become a big cog in a small machine. A tow licence would be beneficial, though not essential and a knowledge of older, air cooled Porsches would be ideal.
Applicants should have:
- Previous experience as a vehicle technician, mechanic or motorsport technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge and good diagnostic ability
- A high level of attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- A professional, organised and responsible approach to work
- A full UK driving licence
- Own tools preferred
Experience with Porsche, VAG Group vehicles, classic cars, performance cars or motorsport preparation would be a strong advantage, although the right attitude and skillset are equally important.
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
