Full job description

Poundfield Precast Ltd is a well-established and respected organisation within the construction industry, committed to delivering high-quality precast concrete solutions and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Design Coordinator to join our Design Team.

Key Responsibilities

Liaise with clients and external designers to ensure design deadlines are met.
Arrange and lead design meetings to help resolve issues and keep projects moving.
Monitor design costs and raise any concerns with the Project Manager.
Produce and amend drawings using AutoCAD when required.
Manage the distribution of drawings between clients, designers and the production team.
Support the management of projects and take responsibility for smaller projects under the guidance of the Project Manager.
Build positive working relationships across the business.
Handle information professionally and confidentially.
Build effective working relationships across departments and handle information professionally and confidentially.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 17:00.

Required Experience:

Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems.

Qualifications

BTEC level 3 or HNC in Civil Engineering.
Experience in design coordination.
Knowledge of construction/design processes and industry standards.
We can also provide apprenticeships following the NVQ route and then onto HNC level.
