About the Role

London Transport Museum is looking for a commercially minded and fully qualified finance professional to lead and develop its Financial Planning & Analysis function.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a highly visible role that combines financial planning, analysis, business partnering and strategic decision support across the Museum and its Trading Company. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Senior Leadership Team, Trustees and Committees through the delivery of insightful financial reporting, forecasting and analysis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders, presenting complex financial information in a clear and engaging way, and influencing decision-making across a diverse organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles.
Producing high-quality management information, financial analysis and strategic insight.
Presenting financial performance and recommendations to senior leaders, committees and stakeholders.
Acting as a trusted Finance Business Partner to budget holders across the organisation.
Supporting business cases, investment decisions, commercial opportunities and project funding applications.
Leading financial governance for capital projects and investment activity.
Developing reporting packs, PowerPoint presentations and data-led storytelling for senior audiences.
Managing and developing a part-qualified Management Accountant.
Building and continuously improving the FP&A and Business Partnering capability within the Museum.
Working closely with TfL Finance and external stakeholders, including auditors and funding bodies.

What We're Looking For

Essential

Fully qualified accountant (CCAB qualified).
Significant experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis or Finance Business Partnering role.
Experience delivering budgeting, forecasting and monthly management reporting.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
Experience presenting financial information to Senior Leadership Teams, Boards or Committees.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insight.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
Experience managing or mentoring finance colleagues.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including PowerPoint.

Desirable

Experience within the charity, museum, public sector or transport sectors.
Experience supporting capital projects and investment governance.
Experience establishing or enhancing FP&A and Business Partnering functions.
