We’re Weldon Young, an independent RICS‑regulated practice built on a simple principle: putting the client first. We value personality as much as technical skill, and we’re looking for surveyors who care about doing the job properly, explaining things clearly and supporting clients through what can be a stressful process.

The role

We're looking for an experienced RICS Residential or Building Surveyor based in or around Dorset. Our patch runs across parts of Dorset, Hampshire and London primarily in the Dorset area is where we need support most.

AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS.

You'll be carrying out RICS Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys. With some Red Book valuations. You will need a full UK driving licence, right to work in the UK.

What working here actually looks like

One survey a day. Four a week. Enough time to do the job properly. You'll have office support handling bookings and admin.

You manage your own diary. If you need to drop the kids at school, you drop them. Sports day? Please go. As long as the work gets done and the client is looked after, how you structure your day is up to you.

The terms: 25 days annual leave, bank holidays, Full-time or part-time considered.

The support: Real CPD support

The salary: Competitive and experience-dependent. We'd rather have an honest conversation than lose the right person over a number on a page.

Being Honest: We're a small firm. We can't offer some of the benefits a large corporate can. But our way of working will make up for it.
