Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our team! In this vital role, you will coordinate and optimize transportation routes, manage logistics operations, and ensure timely delivery of goods. Your leadership and organizational skills will help streamline our supply chain processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and support the overall efficiency of our logistics services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient transportation plans that align with client requirements and company standards
- Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and clients to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Monitor real-time transportation activities to ensure adherence to schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, routes, and delivery statuses using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Analyze logistical data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to provide updates and resolve inquiries
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and legal requirements across all transportation activities
Skills
- Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee logistics operations effectively
- Excellent driving skills with a valid license; familiarity with vehicle regulations is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data analysis and reporting
- Exceptional communication skills in English for clear coordination with team members and clients
- Demonstrated organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy with experience using IT systems related to transport management software
- Customer service orientation to address client needs professionally and promptly
