Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and professional Care Home Administrator to oversee the daily administrative operations within our care facility. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth communication, efficient management of records, and support for both staff and residents. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong clerical and organisational skills to contribute to a compassionate environment dedicated to providing exceptional care. The role is paid and requires a proactive approach to managing various administrative tasks within a busy care setting.

Responsibilities

Managing all administrative functions, including maintaining resident records, scheduling appointments, and processing documentation.
Financial record keeping, invoicing, and budgeting purposes.
Handling human resources responsibilities such as staff scheduling, onboarding new employees, and maintaining personnel files.
Providing excellent communication via phone, email, and in person to residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
Organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes to facilitate effective team coordination.
Ensuring compliance with care regulations and organisational policies through accurate record keeping and reporting.
Managing office supplies, equipment maintenance, and general clerical duties to support daily operations.

Experience

Proven experience in office administration within a healthcare or care home environment is preferred.
Demonstrable supervisory experience managing teams or administrative personnel.
Strong background in human resources functions such as recruitment, onboarding, and staff management.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Outstanding communication skills, including phone etiquette and written correspondence.
Previous experience with clerical or administrative duties in a healthcare context will be advantageous.
Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
