Full job description

Work base: Canolfan Addysg Conwy – Penrhos Avenue

Canolfan Addysg Conwy seeks to appoint 2 x Level 2 Teaching Assistant’s to support at KS4 provision at Penrhos Avenue. The successful applicants will be asked to support the teaching of pupils with emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties. The successful applicants should have experience of working with and supporting young people, ideally, within the framework of a PRU or a specialist provision.

They will be expected to support access to learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of a student in the classroom. The successful applicant will be employed on a one year contract in accordance with the terms and conditions of teaching assistants.

Due to the nature of the post the successful candidate will be subject to a disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

It is a requirement that successful candidate will need to register with the Education Workforce Council prior to commencing employment
