Care is Central is proud to be opening Camellia Court, a brand‑new 8‑bed residential Short Stay Service for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and we’re looking for a passionate Team Leaders to join our founding team.

This is a rare opportunity to be part of a service from the very beginning, helping to set the culture, standards and values that will shape outstanding short‑stay experiences for the people we support.

Camellia Court forms part of Red Kite Meadows, a state‑of‑the‑art care village developed in partnership with Central Bedfordshire Council. Designed with comfort, dignity and enjoyment in mind.

Our short‑stay service offers individuals a welcoming, high‑quality environment where they can relax, try new activities and enjoy a positive break.

The Role: Team Leader

As Team Leader, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the service while inspiring and leading a team of Support Workers. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care that truly makes a difference.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the Registered Manager with daily operational leadership

· Complete needs assessments for prospective residents

· Develop, review and maintain risk assessments and person‑centred care plans

· Lead, supervise, mentor and support Support Workers on shift

· Support recruitment, onboarding and staffing planning

· Create and manage rotas, including annual leave monitoring

· Assist with payroll accuracy for your team

· Participate in the on‑call rota

· Carry out quality assurance activities, audits and spot checks

· Maintain accurate digital records and documentation

· Lead staff supervisions, training and performance appraisals

About You

We’re looking for an experienced and values‑driven adult social care professional who is confident leading others and committed to high‑quality, compassionate care.

You will ideally have:

· At least 1 years’ experience in a supervisory, Team Leader or management role

· Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities

· Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, colleagues and professionals

· The ability to remain organised, flexible and responsive in a busy service

· A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use

· Most importantly, you’ll share our values, bring warmth and positivity to your work, and understand the impact great leadership has on both staff and the people we support.

· You’ll also need:

· A good standard of written and spoken English

· QCF Level 2 (or above) in Health and Social Care

Hours, Pay & Conditions

· Full‑time (40 hours), permanent contract

· Weekend working required

· Pay: £14.85 per hour rising to £15.07 per hour

· Paid on‑call duties (rota‑based)
