Location: This is a travelling role. It will be providing cover predominantly centered around Hull and the surrounding counties but there may be ad hoc requirements to travel outside of this region. Travel and accommodation expenses will be provided.

As a Regional Band Leader you will:
- Ensure a consistent experience to our customers by providing cover and catch up lessons in Rocksteady schools throughout the year.
- Responsible for assessing the needs of children and schools, and providing high quality lessons in a wide variety of different situations.
- Create and maintain on-going positive relationships with schools requiring cover and catch up lessons.
- Be consistently on top of administrative duties outside of lessons.
- Supporting new Band Leaders in your area when not providing cover and helping to maintain quality standards in your region.
- Fuel card is provided for all business miles (as you will not have a regular place of work all of your mileage will be classed as business mileage).
As a Regional Band Leader you’ll need:
- To be competent on at least two of the following instruments: drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
- Be energised by travel and able to stay away from home as required.
- Consistently and positively representing the brand in your schools.
- Be consistently organised and have excellent administrative skills.
- Be highly personable, approachable and friendly.
- Have a confident and concise communication style.
- Have a positive and can-do approach to their work.
- Be resilient and adaptable.
UK/EU Driving Licence and own transport is an essential requirement for the role.

- Teach groups of primary-age children in a fun, inspiring rock and pop band format in up to 10 schools per week.
- Give children their first opportunity to learn an instrument – you’ll be teaching drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
- Work independently as part of a remote team of band leaders, the biggest team of like-minded musicians in the UK, with the support of our central teams too.
- Be a rock and pop star role-model, empowering and supporting children in primary schools to deliver live performances at their end-of-term concerts.
- Help children develop their self-belief, resilience and wellbeing through performing in a band.
- Represent Rocksteady, building strong relationships with schools, teachers and parents.
- Be prepared for highly active days and to spend time on the road driving between schools. You’ll need to load and unload your band equipment, set-up and pack away in each location.
As a band leader you’ll need:
- To be competent on at least two of the following instruments: drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
- The enthusiasm to learn how to teach band lessons and complete our extensive training programme before you start your timetable.
- The resilience to work in a role that provides some of your greatest moments and biggest challenges – often all in the same day!
- The confidence to be yourself at work, be proud of your uniqueness and communicate equally well with children, teachers and parents.
- The integrity to always promote the safety and well-being of children and young people.
- To be an organised, independent worker, with good time management and administration skills.
- A UK/EU driving licence and your own transport. This role requires you to use your own car to transport equipment and drive between schools.
