In this fast-paced pivotal role, the Business/Admissions Manager is responsible for leading all learner admissions and enrolment activity, managing employer and learner relationships, and overseeing key business functions that support high‑quality apprenticeship delivery. This role ensures every candidate, employer, and colleague receives a professional, timely, and supportive experience from first contact through to programme start.
The postholder will also coordinate marketing and social media activity, and act as the central point of contact for enquiries, ensuring smooth, compliant, and efficient operations across the organisation.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Admissions & Enrolment Management:
- Lead and oversee the full admissions process for all apprenticeship and diploma programmes and short courses.
- Ensure all applications, eligibility checks, and enrolment documentation are completed accurately and in line with funding and audit requirements.
- Maintain clear, timely communication with applicants, employers, and internal teams throughout the admissions journey.
- Monitor admissions pipelines, reporting progress, risks, and trends to senior leadership team.
- Ensure a positive, inclusive, and supportive experience for every learner from first enquiry to induction.
Employer & Learner Engagement:
- Act as the first point of contact for employers and learners, providing clear information, guidance, and support.
- Work with the Director of Learning & Development and Sales Team in building strong, professional relationships with employers to support ongoing engagement and repeat business.
- Respond to enquiries promptly and ensure all stakeholders receive a high‑quality service.
- Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure smooth handover from admissions to programme delivery.
Marketing & Communications:
- Manage and carry out marketing activities, including social media and promotional content.
- Oversea website updates ensuring information is correct, consistent and compliant.
- Ensure brand messaging is consistent, professional, and aligned with organisational values.
- Support the creation of campaigns that raise awareness of apprenticeship opportunities and celebrate learner success.
- Monitor engagement metrics and recommend improvements to strengthen visibility and reach.
Operational Coordination & Admissions Support:
- Work with sales, compliance, and admissions to support smooth, efficient processes.
- Maintain clear communication channels between teams, ensuring information is shared accurately and on time.
- Support the organisation of team meetings by preparing updates, data, and operational information as required.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative working environment by promoting helpful communication and consistent service standards.
Business Operations & Quality:
- Coordinate day‑to‑day business operations linked to admissions, employer engagement, and compliance.
- Work closely with compliance colleagues to ensure all documentation meets DFE, Ofsted, and internal quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records, trackers, and reporting dashboards.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the learner and employer experience.
- Support organisational readiness for audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
- With the Engagement and Business Development Executive provide quarterly Board Reports covering Admission and Sales oversight, audit outcomes and risks.

Salary: Full Time Equivalent - £29,000 - £32,000 depending on role and experience.
