HR Assistant (Part-Time)
We are seeking a reliable, organised and professional HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team on a part-time basis.
This role is responsible for all aspects of recruitment across all but the most senior positions and completing the onboarding process for all new employees as well as providing efficient administrative support across the HR function, whilst delivering a professional service to all employees, potential employees and external contacts.
This position would suit someone with previous office administration experience, ideally within an HR environment, who enjoys working in a busy office setting and has excellent organisational skills.
· Responsible for all aspects of recruitment, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews and preparing offer and regret letters.
· Support onboarding and other employee administration processes.
· Use recruitment platforms and social media to advertise vacancies and attract candidates.
· Ensure HR records, job descriptions and training documentation are maintained and kept up to date.
· Respond professionally and efficiently to telephone calls, email enquiries and visitor requests.
· Maintain confidentiality when handling employee information and sensitive documentation.
· Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation and filing systems.
· Support the HR team with general office administration and undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
· Previous administration experience in a busy office environment is essential.
· Previous HR administration experience is highly desirable, although applicants with strong administrative experience and transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
· Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Confident using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
· Professional, reliable and able to always maintain complete confidentiality.
· Part-time position based in Forfar, Scotland.
· 16 hours per week, ideally worked over five days (working pattern can be discussed).
· Office-based role within a busy Human Resources department.
· Frequent use of Microsoft Office applications and HR systems.
· Regular interaction with employees, managers and external contacts.
· Confidential handling of employee information and documentation.
