Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for Operating Fibre laser cutting machines Brake presse usen in sheet metal fabrication. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, mechanical principles, and the use of various hand and power tools. The Fabrication Engineer will play a key part in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for fabrication and mechanical innovation to contribute to diverse projects within our organisation.

Responsibilities

Design and develop fabrication processes for sheet metal and structural components, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.
Operate High precision machinery
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and fabricate parts accurately.
Conduct inspections of fabricated components to ensure precision and compliance with technical drawings.
Assist in the assembly of complex mechanical systems, ensuring proper fit and function.
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimise fabrication methods and improve production efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Document fabrication processes, modifications, and quality checks for record-keeping purposes.

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication engineering or a related field, with a focus on sheet metal work.
Proficiency in TIG welding, <LOCATION> welding, and the use of various hand tools and power tools.
Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly procedures and technical drawings.
Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
Ability to interpret technical diagrams and specifications accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications or training in welding techniques are desirable but not essential. This role offers an engaging environment for those committed to craftsmanship in fabrication engineering while providing opportunities for professional growth within our organisation.

Pay: £24,420.00-£43,014.59 per year
