Log Yard Operator, Wheeled Loader and Bucket Driver

Based Fort William, PH33 7AP
Rotating Shifts, 6am-3pm/3pm-1am (42.5hours p/w)

Based at our Fort William sawmill, you will be specifically driving a Wheeled Loader with Bucket, you will be working within a team and individually.

Specifically, some responsibilities of a Log Yard Operator include:

Operating a wheeled loader with a Bucket.
Loading Wood chip, bark and sawdust.
Movement of logs using 360 material handler and wheeled loader.
Unloading of log wagons.
Operation of weighbridge: booking in/out sawn goods, logs and coproducts as well as controlling incoming site traffic movements.

About you:

We are looking for a motivated individual who is production focussed and has the ability to meet deadlines. In addition, you’ll have;

Experience using heavy mobile plant would be preferred but is not essential as full training can be provided.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Be flexible and work well as part of a small team.
A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
Appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
Full Drivers Licence.
