Inverlochy Castle Hotel, one of Scotland’s most distinctive luxury country-house hotels, is looking for an ambitious and passionate Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at Seasgair, our exceptional restaurant overseen by renowned chef Michel Roux Jr.
Set within the historic surroundings of Inverlochy Castle, Seasgair offers an intimate and refined dining experience that celebrates outstanding Scottish produce, classical technique and thoughtful, modern cooking.
The Role:
As Chef de Partie, you will play an important role in delivering the consistently high standards expected from an award winning culinary environment.
Working closely with the senior kitchen team, you will take responsibility for your section, ensuring that preparation, presentation and service are carried out to the highest possible standard.
You will be expected to:
- Prepare, cook and present dishes to the exacting standards of Seasgair.
- Take ownership of your designated section during preparation and service.
- Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.
- Work efficiently and calmly within a busy professional kitchen.
- Support and encourage Commis Chefs and more junior members of the team.
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared accurately and on time.
- Follow recipes, specifications and portion controls.
- Maintain excellent food safety and cleanliness standards.
- Contribute positively to the development of the kitchen team and the overall guest experience.
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, takes pride in their work and is committed to developing their culinary career.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong background as a Commis Chef ready to take the next step.
- A genuine passion for cooking and high-quality ingredients.
- Good knowledge of classical culinary techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work under pressure while maintaining consistency and composure.
- A positive attitude and strong team ethic.
- A willingness to learn and develop within a high-standard kitchen.
- High standards of personal presentation, organisation and cleanliness.
