Edgbaston Wellness Clinic | Birmingham
Are you an experienced doctor, consultant or surgeon who wants to develop a private practice without having to build the entire infrastructure around it yourself?
Perhaps you are:
- Already self-employed but want a better clinical base
- Working independently and finding the administration increasingly burdensome
- Looking to move from self-employed practice into a more structured employed role
- Employed elsewhere but interested in developing private practice alongside your existing work
- Looking for a new location from which to relocate an established service
- An experienced specialist with an idea for a service but without the infrastructure to launch it
- Looking for clinical premises, management support and a team capable of helping your service grow
We would like to hear from you.
Edgbaston Wellness Clinic is expanding its medical and surgical services and is looking to work with clinicians across a wide range of specialties.
Our model is flexible.
Depending upon the clinician and service, opportunities may include:
- Employment
- Sessional clinical work
- Independent/private practice
- Practising privileges
- Revenue-share arrangements
- Managed-service arrangements
- Establishing an entirely new specialist service
- Relocating an existing private practice into our facilities
The important point is simple:
You provide the clinical expertise. We can provide much of the infrastructure around it.
What We Can Provide
We are not simply offering a room.
Our aim is to provide clinicians with a managed clinical environment that can include:
- Clinical consultation rooms
- Treatment and procedure facilities
- Minor surgical facilities
- Reception support
- Telephone and patient enquiry handling
- Appointment management
- Patient administration
- Payment processing
- Clinical governance infrastructure
- Policies and operating procedures
- Infection prevention and control systems
- Clinical waste arrangements
- Stock and consumables management
- Administrative support
- Marketing and service-development support
- Website and patient-information support
- Clinical documentation systems
- Support with developing patient pathways
- Internal multidisciplinary referral opportunities
- Credentialing and practising-privileges processes
- Support establishing new clinics and service lines
This may particularly suit clinicians who enjoy clinical work but do not want to spend their evenings managing bookings, payments, premises, policies, supplies and administration.

If you already operate independently but require:
- Better premises
- Procedure space
- Administrative support
- Reception
- Governance
- Clinical support staff
- More reliable operating capacity
- A Birmingham clinical base
- A professional environment in which to grow
we would be interested in discussing how your service could operate from our clinic.
Equally, if you do not want to remain self-employed, we are happy to explore whether an employed or more structured working arrangement could be developed.
Clinical Standards
Our flexibility commercially does not mean flexibility in clinical standards.
All practitioners will undergo appropriate credentialing and scope-of-practice review before commencing.
Relevant requirements may include:
- GMC registration
- Licence to practise
- Specialist registration where required or relevant
- Evidence of appropriate qualifications
- Current appraisal and revalidation
- Professional indemnity
- Procedural competency
- Clinical outcome evidence where appropriate
- Mandatory training

- Life-support training appropriate to role
- Infection prevention and control
- Continuing professional development
- References
- DBS requirements where applicable
The exact requirements will depend upon the clinician and service proposed.
Have an Idea We Have Not Listed?
Please still contact us.
Some of the most valuable specialist services do not fit neatly into conventional job-advert categories.
If you are a doctor or surgeon with a credible specialist service that could operate safely within an outpatient, diagnostic, procedural or day-case environment, we are interested in discussing it.
You may have the clinical expertise.
We may have the infrastructure that allows you to do more with it.
