Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. We have part-time and full-time opportunities available at our St Ives and Somersham Sites. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within a busy clinical environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to utilise their nursing skills and contribute positively to patient outcomes. The Practice Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive treatment room services, supporting long-term condition management, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinical activities.

Responsibilities

Long-term condition reviews
Diabetes management (desirable but not essential)
Respiratory reviews (desirable but not essential)
Minor illness (desirable but not essential)
Cervical screening
Childhood immunisations
Immunisation and vaccinations
Travel vaccinations
Complex dressings
Contraception and family planning

Experience

Proven experience working as a Practice Nurse or in a similar primary care setting
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to general practice nursing
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
Familiarity with clinical procedures, infection control, and health & safety regulations
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Prior experience with electronic medical record systems is desirable but not essential
