Overview
We are seeking an highly organised, motivated and detail orientated Operations Co-Ordinator to join our growing team. This is a key operational role within the company, where you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and scheduling of surfacing projects; ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and on programme.
Working closely with Contracts Managers, Site Supervisors, suppliers and subcontractors, you will ensure that all materials, plant, labour and subcontract services are planned and available to meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate and schedule surfacing projects in line with operational programmes.
- Procure and schedule materials, plant and subcontractor resources to support project delivery.
- Liaise daily with Site Supervisors and operational teams to confirm labour, plant and material requirements.
- Monitor project schedules and proactively resolve resource or logistical issues.
- Maintain accurate operational records, purchase orders and project documentation.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Support the Operations team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in an Operations Coordinator, Scheduler, Planner or similiar role is highly desirable.
- Experience within the road surfacing, highways, civil engineering or construction sector would be an advantage.
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment where last minute changes should be resolved to achieve best outcomes.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to liaise effectively with site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
- Competent in Microsoft Office
Working hours
Monday - Friday - 8.00am - 5.00pm (42.5 hours per week, including a 30 minute unpaid lunchbreak)
