This position supports a project led by Loughborough University in partnership with Howden Group, aiming to address gaps in understanding female athlete injury risk and career disruptions to inform more equitable insurance models. The project adopts a multidisciplinary, mixed-methods approach grounded in a “gendered environmental” framework, recognising that injury risk is shaped by physiological, physical, and social factors.
The role involves undertaking literature reviews, injury data analysis, and qualitative work with athletes and support staff. The postholder will also support the development of reports, publications, and stakeholder materials.

About You
To be successful in this role we are looking for candidates with the following key experience and skills.
- Experience of conducting literature reviews
- Experience of the collation, management, and analysis of quantitative injury data
- Experience of conducting focus groups and/or interviews
- Ability to communicate well via presentations and written reports for academic, policy and industry audiences.
