ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Driscoll’s is seeking for Warehouse Team Leaders to join the team at our site, based in Linton, Kent.
Shifts Available:
5 on, 2 off working pattern- earliest start 5pm, latest finish 5:30am (next day)
This role requires flexibility with working hours, and willing to work longer hours as and when the business requires.
Pay rate: £16.20 per hour, any weekly hours over 40 paid at an overtime rate of £24.30 per hour.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Lead efficient operation of the warehouse – in loading, packhouse activities, recycling, out loading and cross-docking
- Responsible for all related activities that could affect product safety, legality, authenticity, quality, and brand integrity in accordance with site policies and procedures.
- Maintain standards of health & safety, hygiene, and security. Adhere to environmental practices.

- Assist managing efficient warehouse operation.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist in efficient resource (space, time, staff, tools) utilization in warehouse.
- Help manage inventory accuracy through daily administration duties, stock takes and audit to verify results.
- Set example by demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behaviour.
- Support the production in the day-to-day running of the packhouse.
- Administration duties.
- Maintain and promote high standards of customer service.
- Liaise with drivers, transport companies and on-site third-party personnel.
- Communicate & Implement change as directed.
- Assist in monitoring lorries arriving on site, making sure drivers are following the site rules.
- Support the training, induction, and coaching of team members in SOPs, safety, and values.
- Stand in for management team holidays/sickness as required.
- Ensure compliance with procedures and practices.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Evidence of extensive experience working in a comparable role, preferably within the soft fruit industry.
- Strong appreciation of our business needs and resourcefulness in coming up with solutions to their challenges.
- Well-developed personal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of employees.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to delegate effectively and to follow-up as appropriate.
- Ability to work as part of a team with colleagues across professional, operational and cultural boundaries.
- Proactive approach and prompt responses to all service requests.
- Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines as required by the business.
- Experience of Word, Excel and PROPHET.
