Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, loves leading by example, and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences?

The Mill at Rode is a premium country pub with a modern twist, offering quality food, expertly served drinks, beautiful riverside gardens and a welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for a passionate Bar Team Leader to help lead our front-of-house team and create memorable experiences for every guest.

About the Role

As Bar Team Leader, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the bar, supporting the management team, and motivating the team to deliver outstanding service every shift.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading from the front and setting high standards.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate the bar team during service.
Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Prepare and serve drinks to the highest standard.
Ensure speed, quality and consistency of service.
Support with opening and closing procedures.
Cash handling and till management.
Train and develop new team members.
Maintain excellent cellar, bar and stock standards.
Monitor stock levels and minimise wastage.
Ensure all licensing, health & safety and food hygiene standards are met.
Handle guest feedback professionally and confidently.
Work closely with the kitchen and management team to ensure seamless service.
Drive drink sales through product knowledge and confident recommendations.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a busy bar or premium hospitality venue.
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
A genuine passion for hospitality.
Excellent communication skills.
Positive attitude with plenty of energy.
Calm under pressure.
High standards and great attention to detail.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Personal Licence holder desirable (not essential).
