CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISOR

PING is a family-owned golf manufacturer, founded in 1959 by Karsten and Louise Solheim. The PING brand is synonymous with innovation, performance, quality and service and has a worldwide reputation for designing and manufacturing industry-leading, custom-fit golf equipment, while also being a highly regarded golf apparel brand.

PING Europe, based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, assembles and distributes golf equipment to the UK, Ireland, Europe, Iceland, South Africa and the Middle East.

The European headquarters employs over 250 people in a range of different functions, including manufacturing, operations, marketing, sales and finance. The company also has an apparel design office, based in Cheadle, Cheshire, and is the proprietor of Thonock Park Golf Club, also in Gainsborough.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Customer Services Department to become the Customer Services Supervisor, based at our head office in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. This role will report to the Customer Services Manager and oversees the day-to-day running of the Customer Service Team, ensuring service levels, KPIs and quality standards are consistently met, while supporting and developing team members to deliver a positive customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of the Customer Services Department, ensuring SLAs, KPIs and quality standards are consistently met.
Supervise Customer Service Representatives, providing guidance, coaching and support to deliver positive customer experiences while achieving performance measures.
Monitor real-time performance dashboards, call metrics and reporting tools to ensure optimal staffing and productivity.
Conduct call reviews and audits to ensure customer interactions meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
Handle escalated customer issues efficiently, ensuring resolution and customer satisfaction.
Handling incoming phone calls from PING customers.
Processing orders for hard goods, soft goods and apparel.
Sales support for Area Sales Managers.
Liaison with European sales offices.
Maintain thorough knowledge of PING products, services and the production process.
Other duties as assigned.

Essential qualifications and experience:

A proven education record, to include a minimum of Mathematics and English qualifications.
Strong understanding of customer service, KPIs and contact management tools.
Computer literate, with confident use of Word, Excel and performance reporting systems.

Personal qualities:

Excellent telephone manners and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, conscientious and a team player.
Demonstrates strong leadership skills, leading by example to inspire, motivate and develop team members.
