Full job description

We have 1 substantive (permanent) Senior Clinical Fellow post in the Paediatric department. The post is full time and the post holder will be working in a busy hospital and large team. This is an excellent opportunity within Paediatrics at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The appointee will join the Paediatric team at middle grade level, rotating between General Paediatrics and Neonates. The appointee will take part in outpatient clinics under the supervision of the consultant team and supervise the work of the junior trainees.

Managing paediatric patients throughout their hospital stay

Delivering care to Newborns in the Neonatal Services

Delivering care to the NICU/SCBU, labour ward & post-natal

Assessment of referred babies

The review of all babies as needed

Supervising Foundation doctors

Review of protocols as part of the team

The appointee will be expected to work flexible across the service as required, as and when service needs change

To take part in outpatient clinics under the supervision of the Consultant Paediatricians

To participate in the department’s teaching, audit and educational activities
