Installer / Installation Technician – Blinds, Shutters & Curtains

About Us
We are an established, growing interiors business with a busy order pipeline and a strong local reputation, specialising in made-to-measure blinds, shutters, curtains and window furnishings.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a practical, customer-focused Installer / Installation Technician to join our installation team.
The Role
This role would suit someone with previous installation, fitting or trade experience who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their workmanship and is comfortable working in customers' homes.
Initially, you will work alongside experienced team members to learn our products, installation methods and customer service standards.
Following successful onboarding and training, you will be expected to manage installations independently using a company vehicle.
The role is primarily focused on blinds installation, but you will also be trained to install shutters and curtains, with competency in these products expected during your probationary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing made-to-measure blinds to a high standard
- Learning and developing skills in shutter and curtain installation
- Representing the company professionally in customers' homes
- Carrying out final quality checks
- Maintaining accurate installation records
- Managing daily installation schedules
- Communicating effectively with customers and office staff
- Ensuring company vehicles, tools and equipment are cared for appropriately
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service
Essential Requirements
- Previous fitting, installation or trade experience
- Good practical and problem-solving skills
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional and courteous manner
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Comfortable working independently following training
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Blinds installation
- Shutter installation
- Curtains and tracks
- Carpentry or joinery
- Kitchen fitting
- Window fitting
- Conservatory products
- Flooring installation
- Fitted furniture installation
- Property improvement trades

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Minimum 40 hours per week
