Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Windscreen Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with both hand and power tools. This role involves the installation, repair, and replacement of windscreens in various vehicles, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are met.

Duties

Perform windscreen installations and replacements on a variety of vehicles, including cars, vans, and lorries.
Assess damage to windscreens and determine the appropriate repair or replacement methods.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to execute tasks efficiently.
Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist in heavy lifting of windscreens and related materials as required.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge is essential for diagnosing issues and performing repairs accurately.
Experience with hand tools and power tools is required to carry out installations safely.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between job sites.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous but is not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
