Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Valeter / Quality Control (QC) Technician. This role will involve preparing vehicles to a high standard through valeting and learning our Quality Control process to ensure completed repairs meet company and customer expectations before vehicles are returned.
The successful candidate will receive full training in our QC procedures and will play an important role in maintaining the quality standards of our operation.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control Duties
- Learn and follow the company's Quality Control procedures.
- Conduct final inspections on completed vehicles before handover.
- Check that all repair work has been completed to the required standard.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, presentable, and ready for collection or delivery.
- Identify and report any defects, omissions, or quality concerns to the relevant department.
- Complete QC documentation accurately and ensure jobs are signed off correctly.
Valeting Duties
- Wash, clean, and prepare vehicles to a high standard.
- Carry out interior and exterior vehicle valeting.
- Ensure vehicles are presented professionally for customer collection.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the valeting area.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
- During busy periods, assist the valeting team with workload requirements.
- Complete valeting work on vehicles prior to carrying out the final Quality Control inspection.
- Work closely with workshop and office staff to ensure smooth vehicle progression through the repair process.
- Support the wider team as required.
Skills and ExperienceEssential
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable
- Previous vehicle valeting experience.
- Experience within a bodyshop, vehicle repair, or automotive environment.
- Previous quality control or inspection experience.
