Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced skilled and detail-oriented Screen Printer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality printed designs on various fabric and material surfaces using screen printing techniques. This role requires precision, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently within a busy production environment. Prior experience in fabric printing or related warehouse activities is advantageous, and a proactive attitude towards safety and quality is essential.
Responsibilities
- Experience with automatic presses preferred
- Knowledge of plastisol and water-based inks
- Ability to set up multi-colour jobs accurately
- Good understanding of screen preparation and reclaiming
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work under pressure
- Positive attitude and good teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate automatic screen-printing machines
- Prepare screens, inks, and garments for production runs
- Register artwork accurately and ensure colour consistency
- Print high-quality garments & bags to production standards
- Mix inks and match colours where required
- Carry out quality control checks throughout production
- Clean and maintain screens, presses, and work areas
- Work closely with production staff to meet deadlines and daily targets
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automatic screen printing or roles is preferred
- Use of M&R automatic screen printers desirable
- Mechanical knowledge of printing equipment, hand tools, and power tools is desirable
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with industrial environments is beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout shifts
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks consistently
- Has Worked with both water based and plastisol inks
