Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Administrative Assistant to join our team!

In the role you will be exposed to clinical assessment tools and reporting. Work closely with a large number of clinicians and Mental Health senior professionals. You have the ability to gain high levels or practical experience.

We are seeking a motivated and detailed‑oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent psychology graduate, a junior clinical psychologist, or anyone with a strong interest or background in mental health who is looking to gain experience in a supportive, wellbeing‑focused environment. This is not a clinical role, but your understanding of mental‑health concepts will be highly beneficial in supporting our team and clients. The role includes regular telephone work, including making bookings, handling enquiries, and supporting clients over the phone. Sensitivity is essential, as many of our clients involve children and families who may require a calm, patient, and an understanding approach.

Duties

● Administrative coordination - managing schedules, organising files, maintaining records, and supporting daily operations

● Telephone bookings - converting enquiries into confirmed bookings, following guidance, and accurately recording all details

● Enquiry conversion — guiding callers through the process, offering clear information, and supporting them in booking appointments

● Sensitive communication - interacting with families, including those with children, in a gentle, patient, and understanding manner

● Attention to detail - ensuring accuracy in bookings, documentation, and client information

● Client communication - responding to enquiries, offering guidance, and maintaining a supportive tone

● Team support — assisting staff with documentation, reporting, and workflow organisation

● Data handling — maintaining accurate information, updating systems, and ensuring confidentiality

Ideal Candidate

● A psychology graduate or trainee psychologist, or someone with

● mental‑health knowledge

● Confident and professional on the telephone

● Strong attention to detail, especially when handling bookings and client information

● Comfortable converting enquiries into bookings in a supportive, client‑focused manner

● Sensitive, patient, and able to communicate gently with families and children

● Motivated to learn and willing to engage with training materials before their start date

● Open to ongoing training and development throughout their time at Thrive

● Organised, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality

●Proficient with basic digital tools and administrative systems To be successful you will need to be highly positive and focused on supporting patients.

Training & Development

Full training will be provided. The right candidate will be motivated to learn prior to their start date, with access to introductory materials and guidance. Ongoing training and development will continue throughout the role to support growth, confidence, and professional progression.

Pay: £25,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
