About Binn Group
Binn Group is Scotland's leading independent recycling and waste management company. We employ around 170 people across three sites: our headquarters and Eco Park at Glenfarg in Perthshire, a site at Shore Road in Perth, and our Inverness operation. As an independent, family-owned business, we make decisions quickly and high standards sit at the heart of everything we do.
The role
A hands-on HR and payroll role at the centre of the business, reporting to senior management. Three main things make up the week:
1. Weekly payroll, every Monday. Collate hours from our departments, liaise with our Finance department and external payroll provider, and make sure everyone is paid accurately and on time.
2. Recruitment and onboarding. Place job adverts, manage applicants, arrange interviews, issue offers and contracts, and run onboarding so new hires have a smooth transition into the business.
3. Day-to-day HR. Maintain accurate employee records in our HR system (BrightHR), respond to enquiries via the HR mailbox, prepare HR documents such as letters and contracts, handle leave arrangements, and support managers in adhering to company policies and procedures, with external HR advisers behind you on anything complex.
