The Opportunity
Haberdashers’ Monmouth School is seeking to appoint a part-time Teacher of Computing (0.5 FTE) on a fixed-term contract from September 2026 for 12 months. The successful applicant will be a well qualified, highly motivated, and innovative Computing teacher, possessing excellent subject knowledge and the ability to teach across key stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality Computing teaching, ensuring students are well prepared for external examinations and supported to achieve their full potential.
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons that stretch all learners and contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and resources.
- Assess, track and report on student progress, providing clear feedback to pupils, parents and colleagues to support academic development.
- Uphold the school’s ethos and responsibilities, including safeguarding, and maintaining high standards of behaviour
The Department
The Computer Science department is a dynamic, future focused hub where students learn to think creatively, solve real problems and build the digital skills that power tomorrow’s world. Candidate Requirements

Highly motivated, collaborative and adaptable, the successful candidate will bring excellent communication skills, a warm pastoral instinct and a commitment to the school’s safeguarding responsibilities.
