Bilfinger UK are looking for a Catagory 2 Plant Inspector to join our team at DSM Dalry on a full time basis, 37 hours per week.
As a Category 2 Plant Inspector , your activities will include but not limited to the following:
- Permitted under occasional supervision with examinations as outlined in UKAS RG2 Accreditation for In-service Inspection of Pressure Systems / Equipment Table 1 and customer aligned Management System to the requirements of The Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations (COMAH) 2015, Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR) – as a minimum or boundaries set by customer aligned Risk Based Assessment risk criteria.
- Provide primary interface between the inspection and integrity engineering team.
- Completion of accurate and timely inspection reports cross-referenced to NDT reports where applicable.
- Assist in the planning of long and short-term inspection plans and scopes of work.
- Participate in expert groups as required to develop Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) plans, taking into consideration, Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) guidelines.
- Monitor temporary repairs as per monthly routine.
- Liaise with TAs, Discipline Integrity Engineers (Corrosion, Pressure System, Structural Engineers, Subsea), Corrosion Engineers, Area Inspectors and Onshore Inspection Engineers as necessary.
- Carry out a technical review of completed workpacks and inspection reports.
- Carry out NDT duties when required in support if the engineering inspection.
- Management of onsite issued inspection and NDT equipment.
- Co-ordinate and supervise Plant and NDT inspectors to meet the sites safety and quality requirements.
- Raising permits in support of inspection tasks as required.
- Complete detailed daily reports summarising progress and extent of inspection tasks.
Qualifications Required:
- Incorporated Engineer with appropriate HNC, NVQ Level IV Engineering e.g. ASME Plant Inspector Level 2 or API 570 and API 510
Qualifications Desired:
PCN Level 2 UT, EC, DPI, MPI, Radiography.
- At least 5 years’ experience within a relevant engineering discipline of which at least one year working within an engineering discipline associated with in-service inspection of pressure systems.
