Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Fitter to join our construction and fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various structural and mechanical components across diverse projects. Duties
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute fitting tasks.
- Install, assemble, and repair structural elements using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, masonry, plastering, and fabrication work as required on-site.
- Perform roofing, plumbing, electrical, and construction painting tasks to ensure project specifications are met.
- Use construction tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and join materials.
- Assist with the setup of scaffolding or other temporary structures for safe access during work.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timelines.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction-related roles such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or carpentry.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and technical drawings is essential.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment used in fabrication and masonry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and ability to operate safely on-site.
- Previous involvement in plastering or construction painting projects will be considered an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills combined with the ability to adapt quickly to different tasks across various trades.
